Hey, I'm Sofia
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Madrid, Spain.
A few years ago, I relocated here with my family. What started as a temporary contract slowly turned into a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Spain wasn't in the grand plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt tougher than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Created Velqu Orisen Adil
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or surface tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance grounded in real life in Spain.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- An ordinary travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Spain goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Sofia
